We’re looking for a compassionate, motivated, full-time Substance Use counselor based in Indianapolis, IN – someone who loves the idea of working with people from all walks of life. As part of our team, you’ll be helping those in need with their behavioral health, whether it’s individual counseling or assistance with substance use and mental health issues. SUMMARY
This Substance Use/Mental Health Counselor position offers an opportunity to make a real difference in individuals, children, and families lives by providing essential guidance. In addition to working with diverse populations onsite or over telehealth, we’ve partnered up with the Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP) for additional services such as substance use counseling and mental health support for those recently reentering society. Here you’ll have the chance every day to impact people positively through individual therapy sessions, group counseling activities & case management initiatives supported by HIPAA-compliant technology!

 

REQUIREMENTS
-A Master’s degree is required for this position (required)

-Licensed in the state of Indiana with state Mental Health Boards

-Two years of experience working with substance use/mental health

-Adhere to our Drug-Free workplace program

-Ability to pass a background check

JOB DUTIES
– Provide clinical services, including assessment, treatment planning, psychotherapy for individuals, couples, and families across the lifespan, case management, risk assessment and safety planning, and other direct clinically-based direct services.

-Able to Understand a variety of models and theories of addiction and other problems related to substance use.

– Recognize the social, political, economic, and cultural context within which addiction and substance abuse exist, including risk and resiliency factors that characterize individuals and groups and their living environments.

-Maintain personal safety and adhere to all safety policies and procedures
